Service Description

1. Bacterial Testing Primarily tests for harmful microorganisms like: Coliform bacteria (a broad class of bacteria found in the environment and feces) E. coli (a specific coliform that indicates fecal contamination) Why it matters: Indicates contamination from sewage, animal waste, or surface water, which can cause serious illnesses. Protects health, especially for children, elderly individuals, or those with weakened immune systems. Often required during real estate transactions or when a new well is drilled. Testing Frequency: At least once a year, or after flooding, plumbing repairs, or noticing changes in water taste or smell. 2. Mineral (Chemical) Testing Checks for naturally occurring and man-made substances like: Nitrates/Nitrites (from fertilizers or septic systems) Iron and Manganese (can stain fixtures or give water a metallic taste) Lead and Copper (from plumbing pipes) Hardness (calcium and magnesium levels) pH levels (acidity or alkalinity) Arsenic or Radon (in some regions, these naturally occur in groundwater) Why it matters: Identifies health risks (e.g., high nitrate levels are dangerous for infants). Protects plumbing and appliances from corrosion or scaling. Ensures the water is pleasant and safe for everyday use. Testing Frequency: Every 1–3 years, or more frequently if local conditions or prior results suggest a problem.
